Fred Montoya Jr. passed away on April 10, 2009; he was 78 years old. He was born on November 1, 1930 in Flagstaff, Arizona where he lived his entire life. Fred and his family owned and operated American Laundry for 43 years.

Fred is preceded in death by his father Fred Montoya Sr. and his mother Stella Montoya. He is survived by Ramona Montoya, his beloved wife of 56 years. Five children: Rebecca (Jim) Rasmussen of Phoenix, Diana (Mark) Middleton, Steve (Tammey) Montoya, Angela Montoya, and Leah (Jim) Radloff, all of Flagstaff, as well as 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a brother Albert (Fina) Montoya, and a sister Francis (Frank) Gonzalez.

Fred will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. He was known for his sense of humor, his fatherly wisdom, and especially the love that he had for his family.

Viewing will be 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, April 17 at Norvel Mortuary. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 10:00am at Flagstaff Church of The Nazarene, 3505 E. Soliere Ave.
