Freida Pearl Crandell Boring was born May 12, 1929 in Pinedale Arizona and passed on to be with her beloved husband on February 21, 2008. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 1, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Joseph City LDS Chapel.
Freida was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions in the church including primary teacher, cub scout den mother, and ward librarian. She loved working with children and was happiest when she was serving in the nursery. She worked as a hotel maid in her early years, and later when she felt it important to be home with her own children, she babysat for many many families giving grandma care to many children in Snowflake, Taylor, and Joseph City. She was a wonderful mom and gave an incredible example of unconditional love to all she came in contact with.
Surviving her are her Children Joan (Ron Austad), Dean Carroll (Christine) from Great Falls Montana, Wayne Boring (Carmen), Connie (David Weatherford of Taylor Arizona, Donnie Boring (Wanda), Jim Boring (Nancy), of Needles California, Dee (George Johnson) of Mohave Valley Arizona, Lilly (Leland Howerton deceased) of Joseph City, Cindy (Tolley Farmer) of Holbrook, Lena (Chris Mattice) of Thatcher Arizona, and Jennifer Boring of Las Vegas Nevada. Three brothers, Mel and Lorin Crandell of Colorado Springs Colorado and Wayne Crandell of Taylor Arizona. 51 grandchildren, 89 great grandchildren, and counting and 1 great great grandson. Preceding her in death are her husband James O. Boring, her parents George and Thelka Crandell, brothers Kent, Karl and Loy, sisters Mavis, Sadie, and Zelda also four grandsons and one son-in-law and other loved ones.
