G. Sharon
Anderson
Nov 3, 1948 — Dec 14, 2022
Sharon, the youngest of three children, was born November 3, 1948 in Phoenix, Arizona to Dr. Clyde J. Barker, Jr and Francis (Vradenberg) Barker. She grew up spending summers in Mormon Lake with her family and made it her permanent home in the early 1980's with her husband and young children. Mormon Lake was the perfect place for Sharon and her lifelong love of horses.
Sharon and her husband, Rich, were paramedics and served as emergency response for the Mormon Lake area prior to the Mormon Lake Fire Department being established. After her retirement, she happily spent much of her time on horseback as a cowboy for a friend's ranch. In the last few years, she dedicated much of her time as a foster for "at risk" kittens that would have otherwise been euthanized. Her love and devotion successfully saved dozens of kittens that were able to be placed with forever homes.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Clyde James Barker, Jr, her mother, Francis Barker, and her brothers, Clyde James Barker III (Sonny) and George Thomas Barker (Tom). She is survived by her husband, Richard Anderson, her daughter Christi and husband Tommy Joe, her son, Curtis and wife Karen Anderson, grandchildren, Olivia Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, Kendall Joe and Cameron Joe, along with nieces, nephews and many close friends.
The family plans to hold a private ceremony in the spring. If you would like to honor Sharon, please consider a donation to your local animal rescue.
