Gary Robert Watkins went to be with Jesus in his home in Cottonwood, AZ on March 7, 2025. He was 87 years old.

He was born on April 14, 1937 to Francis and Edna Watkins in Medford, Oregon. He graduated from Roseburg Senior High School and then went on to serve his beloved country in the Navy from 1955-1962. After his service in the Navy, Gary became a skilled telephone technician- a career he excelled in until retirement.

On May 20, 1959, he married Dody Ann Crabtree. Together they had two daughters, Shanna and Susan. They created a beautiful life in Flagstaff, AZ where they had a close group of friends and were very involved in their local church.

After Dody passed away in 2002, Gary married Naomi Jeanette Patton on February 12, 2005. Together they had many adventures, traveling extensively from Oregon to Arkansas and enjoying time with family and friends.

Gary was known as a loving husband and father, a beloved grandpa, and a kind and generous friend. Gary was a man of integrity and faithfulness, serving God and his family and friends with his whole heart.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi and her five children, his daughters, Shanna and Susan, and his twenty-three grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dody, and his step-son, James Patton.

You are welcome to come celebrate his life at 10:30 on Saturday March 15, 2025 at Canyon Trails Cowboy Church in Sedona, AZ. Following, there will be a graveside service at 2PM at Flagstaff Citizens Cemetery (Veteran's Section).
