Geoffrey Alan Pavey was born in Dearborn Michigan on May 2,1958 to Duane and Shirley Pavey. Geoffrey graduated from Riverside High School, in Dearborn, in 1976.

Geoffrey was involved, in his late teens, with two bagpipe bands as a snare drummer. The bands were Saint Thomas Bagpipe Band and Macnish Distillery Bagpipe Band. Geoffrey traveled to Scotland twice with these bands for competition. He was honored in 1977 as the North American Champion Supreme in snare drumming.

Geoffrey relocated to Flagstaff Arizona in 1986. He continued with Bagpipe bands in his new hometown. He drummed with Arizona Highlanders Bagpipe Band and Southwest Skye Bagpipe Band in Northern Arizona. Geoffrey will be honored at his funeral service with bagpipes, by one of his band colleagues, Michael Donaldson.

Geoffrey met his wife Janet in 1986. They were married on June 17,1989 at Peace Lutheran Church in Flagstaff. They celebrated their thirty fifth anniversary in June.

Geoffrey is survived by his devoted wife Janet; his sister Linda Harlow (Peter) of Two Rivers Wisconsin; his niece Elizabeth Gleissner (Eric) of Carmel Indiana and great niece Lilly Gleissner.

Funeral Services will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 423 N Beaver Street, Flagstaff, AZ 86001, on Friday November 15,2024 at 2:30 p.m. Immediately following the service, Geoffrey will be inurned in the church Columbarium. A reception will follow in the church parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Maggie's Hospice and/or the International Foundation of Christians and Jews.
