George lived a long and full life. He was an avid tennis player until he turned 90. He was a Navy pilot during WW II. He held a degree in Engineering and worked his whole career in the Detroit automotive industry designing and selling products. He was a proud lifetime member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. He was married to Maggie, the love of his life, for 67 years. He raised three children: George (m. Kaye), Suzanne, and Lisa (m. John Durham). George and Maggie have been the adoring Grandparents of ten and Great-grandparents of eleven.
He was known all his life as a "real handy guy". He was so loved by many and will be so missed by many.
His memorial service will be held Saturday March 5th at 2pm in the Flagstaff Federated Community Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in his memory be sent to the Columbarium Development Fund at Flagstaff Federated Community Church, 400 W Aspen, Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
