Glenn Donnell Devenport passed away Saturday January 17, 2009. Glenn was born May 24, 1939 in Rehobeth, NM to Glenn and Nellie Devenport. They moved to Winslow in 1942. Glenn attended Winslow schools and graduated from Winslow High school in May of 1957. Glenn was employed as a carpenter and worked on the Glen Canyon Dam at Lake Powell until its completion. He traveled over many states, Canada & Jamaica in his carpentry career. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Nellie Devenport and a niece La Donna Walker. He is survived by sons Gerald Devenport of Sparks, NV and Larry Devenport of St Johns, AZ. 2 grandsons and one granddaughter. Three sisters, Nellie Marie and husband Marty Randen of Calif.,Etta Mae and husband Derry Turley of New Mexico and Margaret Ann and husband Jim Walker of Ariz. Nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great niece and nephew. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Elks auditorium in Winslow at 2:00 pm on Thursday Jan.22, 2009. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
