Goldie Marie Revering, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on Oct 1, 2025. She was born August 15, 1940 in Lancaster County, PA to David and Goldie Sweigart. She was the oldest of six children. She grew up in Amish country and had many happy stories of her childhood horses and adventures.

She pursued her dream of becoming a nurse,  working first at the State Hospital for Crippled Children in Elizabethtown, PA and then joining the Air Force as a Nurse in 1964. She was stationed in Fort Worth, TX, and after that her adventurous spirit led her to Spokane, WA, where she met her husband of 56 years, Dennis Revering. They were stationed at several different Air Force bases - in Guam, New York state, and North Dakota, before settling in Flagstaff, AZ in 1991. Goldie loved adventure and embraced the saying "bloom where you are planted," each time she found herself somewhere new.

Goldie was a natural care-giver, always concerned for the well-being of those around her. She devoted her married life first towards caring for her children, and later, by working as a home health worker. She enjoyed camping, sewing, gardening, bird-watching, and meeting new people. She was active in her parish community and embraced her role in supporting her husband Dennis' diaconate in the church.

While she struggled with numerous physical ailments, she had a dogged positivity towards making the most of life. For the last four years of her life she was homebound due to disabilities.

She is preceded in death by her parents David and Goldie Sweigart, and her brothers, David Jr, Arthur, and Barry.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Revering, her son Stephen Revering, her daughter Teresa Lueken (Michael Lueken), and her three granddaughters Clare Lueken, Dorothy Lueken and Hannah Lueken. She is also survived by her brothers Michael and Ricky (Jan), and numerous nephews and nieces.

Church services will be held at St. Francisco de Asis Catholic Church on Monday, Oct 13. Viewing at 9:45, Rosary at 10:00am, and Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Internment at Calvary Cemetery on Tuesday, October 14 at 11am.
