Gordean "Deanie" Adella Wingfield, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2026. She was born on March 25, 1938, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Evelyn Helen Judd and Gordon Wallace Johnson.
Deanie Wingfield lived an extraordinary life and will be remembered as the glue that held her family together. She was a resilient daughter, supportive sister, loving wife, caring mother to her eight children, and selfless grandmother. To some she was Grandma, but to most she was lovingly known as "Bonna", and forever Bonna she will be.
Deanie was a woman of remarkable determination and perseverance. In 2013, at the age of 75, she proudly earned her bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University. Once she set her mind to something, she pursued it wholeheartedly, inspiring many through her strength, dedication, and unwavering example. Beyond her academic achievement, Deanie was also known as the heart of every family gathering, preparing each holiday meal. Her famous cheesecake became a cherished tradition, one that will be remembered and talked about for generations to come.
Deanie was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Gordon; her husband, Jack Wingfield; her son, Kenny Clark; her daughter, Dana Hamm; her brother, Gary Johnson; and her grandson, Jakob Wingfield.
She is survived by her children, Tom Clark, Mike Clark, Laura Wingfield, Saratina Martin, Jason Wingfield, and Josh Wingfield; her sister, Judi Bergfield; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Her family takes comfort in knowing they will see her again, and she is deeply missed and remembered by all who continue walking through life with her in their hearts while waiting to see her again.
