Gregory Thomas Bauer, 19, of Flagstaff died Oct. 26, 2005, in Tucson.

Greg was a sophomore at the University of Arizona where he worked at the library and previously played in the Pride of Arizona Marching Band. A jazz musician at heart, Greg was a 2004 graduate of Flagstaff High School, where he played saxophone in the school jazz band and was a member of the FHS Marching Band. He also worked at CarQuest in Flagstaff.

Greg was born April 1, 1986, in Phoenix. His family moved to Flagstaff in 1994. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Patricia Bauer of Flagstaff; his brother Steven; his grandmother, Doris Kobrzycki, of Phoenix; aunts and uncles Cathy and Gerry Milko of Sacramento, Calif., and Mike Kobrzycki, Mary Graettinger, Phyllis and Mark Kelly, Susan and Leonard Erie, Jim and Jo Anne Bauer, Richard Bauer, Jeanne and Kevin Maschue, and Kim Bauer, all of Phoenix; several cousins; and his many friends who were so important throughout his life.

A celebration of Greg's life will be held Friday, Nov. 4, at 3:30 p.m. at the Flagstaff High School Commons. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Gregory Thomas Bauer scholarship in care of the NAU Foundation, PO Box 4094, Flagstaff, Ariz. 86011.
