Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Helen passed away peacefully on June 14, 2020 in her home with her husband of 55 years, Wilton at her side.

Helen was born in Memphis, TN on May 17, 1940. At a very young age Helen's journeys brought her to Flagstaff, AZ where she met and married her soulmate, Wilton Hammond.

Together, Helen and Wilton raised 6 beautiful girls into strong, brave, independent women.

Helen's good nature and free spirit touched many lives but it is her laughter and endless amounts of love that she shared that will never be forgotten.

Helen leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband Wilton Hammond, sister Mary Reed, daughters Deborah Peoples, Lynette Johnson, Brenda Davis, Elois (Jimmy) Gray and Tameria Hammond. Grandchildren Cristina Davis, Maylon Johnson Jr., Jamar Hammond Sr., Aaron (Amy) Hammond, Anjelica Hammond, Kiara Hammond, Chantel Hamilton, Michael Shorty and Joe Hamilton III, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Helen is preceded in death by her daughter Taunya Hammond and twin grandsons Thern Vance Hammond and Vandon Zacory Hammond.
