Obituary

Henry Ray "Smokey" Plemons, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2017 after a short illness. He was born in Waco, Texas on December 29, 1937 to Jim Bob and Lelia Plemons.

In 1963, he married the love of his life, Gayle (King) Plemons. They were together for 49 years, and remained deeply in love until her passing in 2008. Smokey was a barber for many years.

He and Gayle attended Flagstaff Tabernacle, and Smokey had a jail ministry in the early 1990's.

He is predeceased by his parents and two older brothers, Lonnie and Eugene. He is survived by two nephews, Charles and Jim Bob, and two nieces, Patsy Ingram and Paula Bales, as well as great-nieces and -nephews.

A memorial service will be held on July 9, 2017, 5 pm at Flagstaff Tabernacle, 1201 W. Kaibab Lane.
