**POSTPONED SERVICES**
Due to the weather and road conditions the service has been postponed to next Saturday January 30, 2010 2:00 p.m. at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel.
Irene L. Pennington, 83, of Flagstaff passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Olivia White Hospice Home. She was born November 22, 1926, in Topeka, Kansas to Ralph E. and Daisy Orr Gates.
Irene loved her family, friends, pets, neighbors and watching her grandson Ashley play and coach basketball.
Her husband Don Pennington preceded her in death in 2001.
Irene is survived by her sister Wilma Mueller, daughter Connie Crose, son Steve Kahle; grandchildren Ashley Crose (Olivia), Shayne Kahle (Christy), Daniel Kahle, Janina Kahle, Stephanie Kahle; great granddaughter Ashlynn Kahle; and two nieces and two nephews.
A celebration of her life will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2010 at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff.
In lieu of flowers her family has suggested donations be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter 11665 U.S. 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004-5340 www.secondchancecenter.org.
