Obituary

Jackson Patrick Haughey, age 21, walked through the gates of Heaven January 1 st , 2020. He was born in Flagstaff, Arizona, at home, on August 18 th , 1998 to Mark and Allison Haughey. He graduated from Coconino High School in 2016, where he was the Battalion Commander of the JROTC. With a little push from his mother, Jackson joined the United States Coast Guard and served on the USCGC Henry Blake as a buoy tender. On a visit home, Jackson reconnected with Mackenzie Saurer, a long-time family friend. They were married on December 22 nd , 2018 at the Canyon Chapel church in Flagstaff. Shortly after their wedding, Jackson traveled to Charleston, South Carolina to attend the FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center) to further prepare for his career. After graduating in 2019, Jackson moved to Silverdale, Washington to start his dream career as a Maritime Enforcement Specialist, 3 rd class. Mackenzie joined him in their new home in May of 2019.

Jackson had a passion for many things including Star Wars, hockey, Lake Powell, his dog Samantha, and his friends and family. He lived everyday doing what he loved, with the people that he loved, always with a smile on his face. Everyone who met him, no matter how small of an interaction, will always remember him as a loving son, brother, husband, and friend.

Jackson is loved and survived by his parents, Mark and Allison; his four brothers, Harrison, Mason, Jefferson, and Colson; his sister, Madison; his wife Mackenzie, grandparents, cousins, extended family, and friends.

We love you Pie.

Services will be held at Trinity Heights Church (3600 N Fourth St. Flagstaff, AZ 86004), at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 11 th , 2019.  Please wear Star Wars attire, hockey jerseys, or something blue to honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers a hockey scholarship account will be set up in Jackson's name.  More information will be provided soon and updated here on the website.
