Jacquelin Sue Griel "Jackie" passed away June 5, 2016. She was born in Oakland, California on August 20, 1946 to Leon A. and Jane Elizabeth Ripperger Graves. She was raised in Des Moines, Iowa, later moving to Albany, GA where she met and married her husband Joseph John Griel. They resided in Florida for 27 years, then moved to Flagstaff, AZ and went to work for Coconino County. For the past 12 years she has been employed by W. L. Gore Associates Inc. When not working Jackie enjoyed hiking and outdoor activities. She was also part of the team at Gore for teaching women's self-defense, which she also greatly enjoyed.

Jackie is survived by her husband Joseph John Griel, daughter Dawn A. Brown, grandson Corey Brown, granddaughter Victoria Alcaide and siblings Ronald Graves and Pamela Miller.

Celebration of Life will be 6:00 Wednesday evening at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Jackie's honor to shrinershospitalsforchildren.org or Stjude.org.
