Obituary

James Michael Kriste passed away suddenly on November 29, 2015, leaving behind his cherished wife Mary, his beloved son, Johnny, his adored stepchildren Michael (Sarah) Hart and Teresa (Josh) Giles, his identical twin, Michael (Patricia) and his sister, Patricia Elliott, his nephews, Matthew and Patrick Elliott. as well as other family members and friends.

Jim was born November 12, 1947, in Los Angeles, California and graduated Cal Poly Pomona in 1973 with a degree in Park Administration. Jim was in charge of Grounds, Transportation and Paving at Loyola Marymount College during the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. He moved to Flagstaff in 1986 and was employed at Northern Arizona University as the Grounds Facilities Supervisor for many years and later became a conductor for the BNSF Railway Company.

Jim was dearly loved. We will miss his cheerful personality, generous nature, positive attitude and exceptional chef skills. Jim took a great deal of pride in whatever he was doing and enjoyed helping others with their projects.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of the Nativity. Visitation and Rosary on Friday, December 4th at 7 pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 5th, at 12 pm.

Memorial Donations may be made in Jim's name to St. Vincent de Paul's Society at 2113 N East St, Flagstaff, AZ.
