Obituary

Janet Carolyn (Sikes) Fendley passed away quietly on November 28th in Sedona, Arizona. She was born on March 3, 1931 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Walter and Elma Sikes. Her family, including her brother Bob, moved to Southern California in the late 40s. Janet was married to "Bunk" Fendley in 1950.

Janet, Bunk and their son Gregg moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1960, where she lived and worked, until moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1994. She worked for Babbitt Brothers Trading Company in Flagstaff for 25 years. She lived and worked in Lake Havasu City until 2006, when she moved to Cottonwood, Arizona to be closer to her son's family in Flagstaff. Her passion, while living in Lake Havasu, was the local Lion's Club, where she volunteered her time for a number of years. Janet had been in failing health the last six years and called Kachina Point Nursing Facility in Sedona home, until her passing.

Janet is preceded in death by her husband Bunk, her parents Walter and Elma Sikes, as well as her brother Bob.

She is survived by her son Gregg and daughter-in-law, Ira Jean; her three grandchildren, Karolyn (Geoff), Bobby (Randee) and Bradley (Brandi); her eight great grandchildren: Braeden, Brode, Bremer, Avery, Andrew, Abby, Jordan and Brooke; and her sister-in-law Sandy Sikes of Lake Havasu.

The entire Fendley family would like to give a big thank you to the wonderful staff at Kachina Point, the special people at Hospice of the Pines and Norvel Owens Mortuary.

A private service for the family is scheduled on December 10th.
