Janis began her life's journey, Monday, November 4, 1929, in Fort Worth, Texas, born to Evelyn L. and Clyde E. Harwell.

Her journey came to an end, Thursday, September 3, 2015, when she entered the loving arms of Jesus Christ. Leaving behind her heavy burden of fighting two terrible diseases, Emphysema and Alzheimer's.

Janis was a loving wife to Wayne Mills. Loving mother to Jaynet Louise, Linda Carol (previously deceased) and Leslye Clydette. Loving grandmother to Robert Stevens, Michaele Chase, Michael Dunn, John Kincade, Leslye Anne Piper (previously deceased) and Shaellin Kincade and loving great grandmother and great, great grandmother. Her family was her pride and purpose in life until she was reunited with her heavenly father.

In passing she leaves her brother, Elton Harwell. Two daughters, Jaynet Stevens, and Leslye Kincade, five grandchildren, Robert Stevens, Michaele Chase, Michael Dunn, John Kincade, and Shaellin Kincade, as well as, 19 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Visitation at Norvel Owens Mortuary is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

Services in celebration of Janis' life will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 East Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001. Telephone 928-774-2211.

Janis will be laid to rest beside her husband, Leslie W. Mills at Citizens Cemetery 1300 S. San Francisco, Flagstaff, AZ 86001 following services.
