Obituary

Jeff Thomas Green, 90 years, went to eternal rest June 27, 2005. Mr. Green was born December 12, 1914 in Woodworth, Louisiana. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II with the Company A 390th Engineering Regiment in Normandy, France and Ardennes Rhineland. His best friend and brother-in-law Charles Toombs stated Mr. Green moved to Winslow with the opening of the Winslow Timber mill working as a lumber puller. He spent the rest of his working days all over Northern Arizona on various highway construction projects. He is described as one "happy go lucky fella." He is survived by sisters Lavell Smith of Glenmore, Louisiana, Mary Frazier of Tacoma, Washington; brother Reverend Jessie O. Green of Weed, California.

Services will be officiated by Reverend James Moore on Wednesday July 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Norvel Owens Mortuary in Winslow. Mr. Green will be privately interred in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
