ALTMAN, JERROLD, DDS. March 23, 1947-Jan. 8, 2020. Beloved son of Estelle and Arthur. Survived by and loving husband to Eileen. Formerly married to Eleanor Deneroff.  Devoted father to Mathew and Clara Altman and Julie Moran. Devoted grandfather to Louis Moran and Tess and Alex Bordt. Devoted brother to Mindy and Steve Golodny, Bruce and Andrea Saewitz and Anita Saewitz.  Step father and grandfather to Matthew and Karla Swartz, Kate and Norm Williams, and Cameron and Matt Clark and their families. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jerry was born and raised in New York City, attended SUNY New Paltz, followed by Tufts University Dental School from which he graduated in 1971. He and his family then moved to Phoenix where he served for two years as a dentist at Luke Air Force Base, followed by his establishing his own dental practice in Phoenix, which he maintained for 40 years. Upon retirement, Jerry lived first in Denver before settling in Flagstaff, his mountain town.  Jerry loved nature and travelling. He was an avid fisherman, accomplished skier, and extensive reader, and had an encyclopedic knowledge of almost all topics, from current events to the trees in the environs of his beloved Flagstaff. Services will be 2:30, Monday afternoon at Norvel Owens Mortuary, followed by burial and military honors at Citizens' Cemetery.
