Obituary

Jerry Jones passed away April 5, 2011 in Sedona, Arizona. He was born August 8, 1928 in Littlefield, TX to Denton and Dola Ann Jones.

Jerry was married to Beverly for 50 years. They had one son, Robby. They spent most of their married life in Williams, Arizona. They did live for short periods in Washington and Montana for Jerry's work. Jerry worked for the Forest Service form age 17 to age 62. During his many years in the Forest Service, he was recognized many times for various achievements and projects. He was a Ski Ranger, helped develop trails, set up Indian Ruins for public viewing, worked on archeology sites, etc. He was very proud of his work. He was always a quiet man, very resourceful, strong willed, creative, and a clever problem solver. He was also an artist and did wood carvings, sculptures, paintings, bronze statues, and upholstery work. He loved the outdoors: camping, fishing, hunting, etc. He also liked movies and listening to the news. Thanks for sharing, Jerry!
