Obituary

Devoted "Papa" and Father

Jesse Garcia, 58, died Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024. Jesse was born March 10th, 1966, to parents Frank C. Garcia and Cruz O. Garcia. A lifetime resident of Flagstaff, he grew up on East Street and graduated from Coconino High School in 1984. Jesse's passion for cars and trucks drove him to become a Certified Automotive Technician, where he would spend the next 26 years serving the Flagstaff community with his automotive expertise.

Jesse loved fast cars, four-wheeling in the woods, cruising the cinders, rock and roll, riding his Harley, and, of course, enjoying a nice cold beer. After surviving a stroke in 2014, he officially retired from wrenching and shifted gears to become a full-time Papa. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, whether at soccer, football, and baseball games, dirt bike races, or enjoying ice cream at Dairy Queen. Jesse looked for any opportunity to share his famous saying, "If you fly, I'll buy."

Jesse is survived by his two children, Veronica Hausmann (Paul) and Jesse Garcia (Morgan): seven grandchildren; siblings Connie, Maria, and Frank: brother-in-law's Danny and Lloyd; many nieces nephews and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Cruz; sister Esparanza "Hope"; brothers Richard and Pete; niece Racheal; daughter Alicia; great-nephew Tyler; brother-in-law Larry; and longtime girlfriend Sheri.

Jesse will especially be remembered for his contagious laugh and unwavering love for his family, which will be cherished forever.

We invite Jesses family and friends to come pay their respects 2pm, Saturday afternoon, November 9, 2024 at Norvel Owens Mortuary.
