Joanne Margaret Bernardi, 89, of Flagstaff, passed away December 2, 2008. She was born October 5, 1919 in Breslau, Germany to Henry and Martha Ritter.

Joanne moved to Arizona from Michigan nearly 60 years ago, loving the area and sitting on her front patio in the sunshine. She enjoyed shopping, collecting clocks and jewelry. She loved attending her church and having the young people around her.

She knew the value of hard work and enjoyed to work, she retired from El Gruber & Company after 35 years as an Administrative Assistant over the shipping department.

Joanne is survived by her daughter Lee (Foster) Ricketts of Coolidge, AZ, three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Zinser of CA. She was proceeded in death by her husband Ralph Bernardi, her parents, two sisters, and one great-granddaughter.


She will be laid to rest with her husband, Friday, December 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, AZ
