John Ray Gasperone passed away unexpectedly on November 30,2019. He was born in Sparta, Tennessee on July 30,1946, to Mary and Frank Gasperone. His family moved to Phoenix when he was a teenager. John graduated from Washington High School, then attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and Arizona State University. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Upon returning to the US he resumed working at AT&T. His career with AT&T moved the family to San Francisco, Gig Harbor, WA, BIythe CA, and to Flagstaff, AZ, where he retired in 1995 after 30 years with AT&T. His continued work as a consultant gave him the opportunity to travel the United States and Canada.

John enjoyed flying, the outdoors and walking with his German Shepherds. He also was an active member of the Rotary for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Terri, his son JB, and grandsons Turner and Logan, his brother Ron and sister Joanne as well as nieces and nephews.
