Joseph (Joe) David Sanchez
November 2, 1955 – December 21, 2009
Joseph (Joe) David Sanchez was born on November 2, 1955, in Los Angeles, California; first son of Joseph and Mary Ann Sanchez. Joe enlisted in the Army at age 17, was sent and stationed in Germany where he met his beautiful Spanish bride of 30 years, Raquel. Joe attended Cal State Los Angeles and worked for the Pacific Telephone Company. Joe and Raquel traveled the world before settling down in cozy Flagstaff, Arizona where they began their family. Always ambitious, Joe built his own Geodesic Home and personal park, "Vincent Park" for their two children. Joe enjoyed vacationing with his family and often captured the magnificence of life through the lens of his camera. Joe loved to laugh, tell jokes, brought so much joy to his family, friends and everyone who was lucky enough to make his acquaintance. In 1997, Joe fulfilled his dream of becoming a Bed and Breakfast Owner and Innkeeper of the Aspen Inn. Weary travelers from around the world enjoyed a magical experience when staying at the Aspen Inn. Joe's charisma, charm, humor, positive attitude, and gentle heart was the perfect recipe for excellence as Son, Brother, Soldier, Husband, Father, Innkeeper, and Friend. Joseph David Sanchez is survived by wife Raquel, son JoDavid Alan, and daughter Raquel Ann; also by siblings, Rena, Freddie, Diane, Danny, Chris, Richard, Gilbert and their families.
