Josephine Lorraine Warez (Josie), 87 years old, lifetime resident of Flagstaff AZ, passed away on November 29th, 2018 from complications of heart disease peacefully at home with loved ones.

The rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Thursday December 6th, 2018.  The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am at San Francisco de Asis Roman Catholic Church on Friday December 7th, 2018 and officiated by Father John.  The burial will immediately follow the funeral at Calvary Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by Norvel Owens Mortuary.

Josephine was born in Flagstaff, AZ at her grandparents home on July, 4th 1931.  She was welcomed by her loving parents Fidel and Lupita Nieto.  As a teenager she worked at the Army Depot in Flagstaff to support war efforts during WWII.  Josephine enjoyed teaching dance at NAU.

At sixteen years of age she was married to Peter J. Warez, a Naval Chief Petty Officer at our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Peter and Josie were happily married for over 50 years. In 1955 the two welcomed their lovely daughter Francine.

Josie was passionate about her career in real estate. She ran and operated her family business her entire adult life.

Josephine was adored by everyone who met her & has touched many lives.  She was a true matriarch and queen of hearts.  She will be missed by all.

Josephine is survived by her grandchildren Mindy Garcia, Adam Neumann, Erin Spangler, six great grandchildren, daughter Francine Moore, countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Peter Warez, parents Fidel & Lupita Nieto & many loving family members.
