Joyce was a loving wife, devoted mother, wonderful grandma, and loyal friend. She was never shy to offer advice, drawing on her 98 years of experience as wife, mother, teacher and community volunteer. Joyce loved Flagstaff the town she called home for 78 years, where she carved out a storybook life for her family, husband Killip and sons John and Norm. The town of Flagstaff will miss her spunky energy.

Joyce's dedication was unyielding to Sons John and Norm Killip, Daughter-in-laws Kathy and Valerie Killip, grandchildren, Whitney, Brielle, Wyeth, Keelia, Joe and Alex.

Joyce Aston Killip received her Bachelor Degree from Arizona State Teachers College which is now Northern Arizona University. Not to waste a moment Joyce continued her education receiving a Masters degree from the University of Southern California. She taught in both the elementary and secondary levels in the Flagstaff school system. She is remembered by many students as a force to be reckoned with but also a teacher who never gave up on them or their potential. Then when husband Wilfred F. Killip Assistant Superintendent of Flagstaff School District retired after forty years of service the two traveled and spent precious time with family and friends. Joyce and Killip were married as Joyce would say "only 68 years", a long blessed life. Both Joyce and Killip will live on in all of us as we retell their wonderful storied. We love, miss and admire you Mom, Grandma, and friend Joyce.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 3 10am at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 423 N. Beaver St., Flagstaff, AZ 86001. An Open House will follow at 12 Noon at the Elks Lodge BPOE #499, 2101 N. San Francisco St., Flagstaff, AZ.

IN lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany or Killip Scholarship at Northern Arizona University.
