Obituary

Juan B. Jiron, 87, passed away Thursday October 11, 2007 in Flagstaff. He was born in San Juan, New Mexico and resided in Flagstaff for 57 years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Benita, his 11 children; Leroy (Dorothy) Jiron, of Flagstaff, Lasso (Joy) Jiron, of Flagstaff, Dolores (Rudy) Aleman of Phoenix, Jerry Jiron of Phoenix, Julia (Antonio) Barrios of Phoenix, Isabelle (Gary) Gresham of Cottonwood, Cicilia Lucero, of Cottonwood, Grace Jiron, of Flagstaff, Selina Jiron, of Flagstaff, Gloria (Lew) Argetsinger, of Flagstaff, and Juan Jr. (JoAnn) Jiron of Flagstaff, 45 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and two sister Dora Tapia-Amezcua, of Phoenix, and Elosia Medina of Phoenix.

He was a WWII Veteran and was very proud to have served his country. He was a major Diamondbacks fan, enjoyed playing pool, fishing at Lake Mary and reading his Bible.

He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, storytelling and devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held Monday evening October 15, 2007 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at The Rock Full Gospel Church, 5200 E. Cortland Blvd, Suite A-14. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. Services will conclude with military honors provided by the American Legion, Mark A. Moore Post #3.
