Obituary

Judith Ann "Judy" White, 80, passed away on September 8, 2024, in Flagstaff, Arizona.  Born on August 2, 1944, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Judy lived a life marked by her dedication to others, her love of nature and her passion for travel.

Judy pursued higher education at Northern Arizona University and went on to establish a fulfilling career as a Speech-Language Pathologist.  She worked extensively in

Winslow Public School and Flagstaff Unified School District, touching lives at DeMiquel Elementary School, Killip Elementary School and Cromer Elementary School.

A strong and independent Spirit, Judy's love for hiking was well-known among her friends and family.  She often explored trails with her beloved dog, Mandy, and cherished her trips to Paris, and Ireland.  Beyond hiking, Judy had a keen interest in games: crossword puzzles , Soduko, and Scrabble, online or face to face.  She held a deep affection for animals, sharing her home with her two feline companions, Whitey Ford and Inky Dink.

Judy's legacy is carried on by her cherished pets and the many students and colleagues whose lives she enriched.  In honor of her love for animals, contributions can be made to Coconino Humane Society at 3501 E. Butler Avenue, Flagstaff, Arizona 86004.

Per Judy's wishes, no services are planned. Arrangements are being handled by Norvel Owens Mortuary, located at914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona.  Judy's memory will continue to inspire those who knew her and the communities she serves with such passion and dedication.
