Junita L.
Bracken
Aug 19, 1930 — Feb 3, 2022
Junita Lois Bracken .
On February 3, 2022, Junita Lois Bracken was granted the privilege of seeing Jesus face to face in all His glory as she was ushered into her heavenly home to be forever with her Lord and Savior. Junita passed away after suffering a head injury due to a fall while recovering from a broken femur. She was 91 years old.
Junita is survived by her sister Betty Brown of San Angelo TX; her two sons Keith Bracken, and his wife, Sandra of Camp Verde AZ; and Dennis Bracken, and his wife Karen of Buckeye AZ. Junita has 3 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Jimmie "Lowell" in 2013, and her youngest baby, Jimmie Dale in 1956.
Junita was born on August 19, 1930, in Bald Prairie Tx. She married Jimmie Lowell Bracken in 1949, and soon moved to Flagstaff AZ where they resided for the next 65 years. In 2012, Jimmie and Junita relocated to Camp Verde, AZ, where she has lived since Jimmie's death. Junita enjoyed cooking and visiting with her family, neighbors and church family. She loved to feed people, no one ever left her home hungry after a visit, no matter the time of day. She was a bright light in her community, loved by everyone she touched. She desired more than anything to share her love for Jesus and was always inviting friends and neighbors to join her in church. Her faith was strong all the way to the end, even when confusion and pain surrounded her she clung to her Savior calling out to him. She will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
A Viewing for Junita will be held on Friday, February 11th at 12 noon followed by a memorial service at 1pm at Norval Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66 in Flagstaff AZ. It will be immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony at Citizen's Cemetery. Flowers and condolences can be sent to 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff AZ 86001
