Justin Carder passed away Saturday, July 30th from a pulmonary embolism. The embolism was the result of a mountain bike tumble he took while enjoying a ride several days before.

Justin appreciated Flagstaff's natural beauty and was an avid sports enthusiast enjoying hiking, biking, cross country and downhill skiing. He attended Colorado School of Mines and Northern Arizona University graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a Chemistry minor. He received a Master of Science degree in Forestry Fisheries and Wildlife from the University of Nebraska--Lincoln and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee--Knoxville.

Although known for his insatiable interest in preserving the environment, most knew Justin as the founder of Mutemouse Computer Services—his local company that provided personal computer services to clients in Flagstaff and surrounding areas. He was also a talented musician and singer entertaining Flagstaff audiences at private parties and Stage Left Sub Shop.

Justin is survived by his family—His mother, Dr. Nancy Carder; father, Bryan Carder, M.D.; sister, Kris Muller (Mark) of Houston; sister, Lindsay Henry (Mike) of Anchorage; brother, Jason Carder (Connie) of Tucson; sister, Courtney Carder of Queen Creek; dear friend, Michael Tellis (Flagstaff); beloved cats, Boo and Pilar; mother-in-law, Pat Loven (Flagstaff) and the Loven Family; and 13 adoring nieces and nephews. Justin was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon Carder (1984) and his wife, Elaine Loven (2009).

We will miss our dear son, brother and friend; his joy for living and his giving spirit that touched all he knew. A memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the cabin of Pat Loven 10151 N. Hwy 89A, Oak Creek Canyon, Arizona. The home is chalet style with a blue door. The turn-off from Hwy. 89A will be marked with green balloons. If you are coming from Flagstaff, you will have to swing wide to proceed down driveway.
