Obituary

Kalani Michael Johns-Alonzo was born March 25 th , 2010 to Mercedes Johns-Alonzo and Alexis Alonzo in Flagstaff, Arizona.

In his Elementary years, Kalani was a student at Killip Elementary School and then started his Middle school year at Sinagua Middle School.

Kalani was an outstanding athlete and started his career with Primetime Athletics. He participated in basketball and flag football, during which he also played 2 years of tackle football with the Flagstaff Rangers. After taking a year off from sports, Kalani jumped right back in playing his last year of football with the Flagstaff Youth Eagles. During his athletic career, Kalani showed that he definitely had God Given Talent. Although, being the person that he was he never let his talents outshine his teammates and always recognized and highlighted their accomplishments over his, which by far was his best attribute as a person. During his years on this earth Kalani was a beacon of light of positivity, humbleness, teamwork, laughter and growth, which was able to reach everyone he came in contact with on an off the field.

Kalani's dream was to be an NFL star. A path that he was definitely on and going to reach.

Kalani lived his life with so much love and care for everyone he came in contact with. Whenever you saw him, he had that big infectious smile on his face. Kalani was a true lover of all people. Kalani was there for you, even when you didn't know you needed someone. Kalani was an Angel on earth, here to teach us what living life was really about and to show us what LOVE really looks like. He was placed here on a mission, a mission the will continue because of the seeds he planted in each and everyone one of us.

Kalani is survived by his parents Alexis Alonzo and Mercedes Johns-Alonzo, his siblings Amari and Maliah Johns-Alonzo; Grandparents Carlton and Debbie Johns, Jose and Christine Aboites; Aunties and Uncles galore as well so many cousins and friends.
