Obituary

Kalee Alexa Harris, 26, of Grand Canyon, AZ. died suddenly of natural causes at home, Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.  She is survived by members of her immediate family, husband Spencer and daughter Lily Harris of Grand Canyon, AZ.  She is also survived by her mother Dr. Barbie Norvell-Johnson and stepfather Errol Johnson of Jacksonville, AL;  father and stepmother Chris and Linda Hall of Hot Springs, AR;  sister Katlyn Hall of Charlotte, NC;  brothers Nicholas Johnson of Fayetteville, NC;  and Elliott Johnson of Knoxville, TN;  She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Barbra Norvell Johns of Albany, GA; and paternal grandmother and grandfather Shirley and Larry Kline of Columbus, OH.

She is additionally survived by her in-laws Marty and Anavon Harris of Tusayan, AZ; and brothers and sister in-law, Brady and Becca Harris, Blake Harris, Mason Harris, and Parker Harris all of Tusayan, AZ.

Kalee was born in Atlanta, GA. And spent her early childhood in Stockbridge, GA.  She briefly moved to Auburn, AL. and finally finished her early years in Myrtle Beach, SC. Where she graduated from Academy of Technology and Arts in 2011.  She attended Horry Georgetown Technical College and studied nursing.  She moved to the Grand Canyon in 2014, attended Coconino Community College in Flagstaff where she studied Early Childhood Education and received her Child Development associate in 2018.  Kalee was employed by NACOG Head Start in Grand Canyon Village until the Head Start closed in 2019: at that time, she became the 3-year-old Pre-K teacher at Kaibab Learning Center in Grand Canyon Village.

Kalee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She served as a primary teacher, young women's counselor, first counselor in the Relief Society.  Kalee enjoyed temple attendance and had a strong testimony of the Gospel.  She loved everything Disney, traveling, and spending time with her family at the beach.  Kalee also enjoyed reading and crocheting.  Spencer and Lily were the light in Kalee's life and centered her attentions toward them.

A visitation will take place Friday, February 7, 2020 at 3:00 pm followed by funeral services at 4:30 pm, both at the Shrine of the Ages Chapel, Grand Canyon, Arizona.  Burial will be Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the Tonaquint Cemetery, Saint George, Utah.
