Karen Aline Heath, 75, of Flagstaff passed away January 17, 2016. She was born August 28, 1940, in DeWitt, Iowa to Leonard and Nina Maynard Fox. Karen moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her family in 1954, where she graduated from North Phoenix High School in 1958. She later attended Phoenix College. She married J.O. Heath in Phoenix on May 23, 1959. Their two children, Adrienne and Jimmy, were born in Phoenix.
In 1967, the family moved to Flagstaff where she was active with Girl Scouts, Church Choir, Master Chorale and Beta Sigma Phi social sorority. She and J. were charter members of Trinity Heights United Methodist Church. She became an avid birder and genealogist and worked in the family business until recently. Karen and J. spent many happy times in their travel trailer, visiting the 49 contiguous states and most of the Canadian provinces.
She is survived by husband, J.O. Heath, daughter Adrienne Annecchini and son-in-law Dino, son James Heath and daughter-in-law Melissa, grandchildren Amber Henning (Nathan), Alexis Annecchini, Collin and Jenna Heath, brother Lyle Fox of Washington State, and a niece Toni.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, January 21, 2015 at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Citizens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be sent to Hope Cottage, Flagstaff Family Food Center or local charity of your choice.
