Katherine J Long's Obituary
Katherine "Gammie" J. Long, 93, of Flagstaff died Saturday, June 18, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 2, 1912, in Marion, Ind. She was the only child of Ocie and Virginia Justus, but she and her cousin, Missouri Rowe of Wilmington, Del., considered themselves sisters.
She married George Donald Long in Washington, D.C., during World War II. They started a family and enjoyed many years together. She will bemissed by family and many friends.
Mrs. Long is survived by daughters Nancy (Scott) Laughery of Flagstaff and Linda S. Maples of Mesa; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George.
Private services will be held.
