Katie (Boo) Gallegos of Flagstaff AZ passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024 in the arms of loving family.  She was born on April 9, 1935 in Gallup NM to Frances and Cipriano Arias. She married her sweetheart Henry Gallegos who she now joins in heaven. She is also reunited with children Henry and Eileen (Nini) her parents, grandchildren, and many other family members and friends. She is survived by her children Rosa, Anna (Angel), Sylvia, David (Nikki), Dorothy (Bob), Mike (Bea), and Steve. Her branches extended very far having 75 grandchildren (25 grand, 30 great-grand, 10 great-great-grand). She was a foster care mother, child caregiver, and surrogate grandmother to countless children. Her kitchen table was open to all who entered her home to savor her delicious food and her famous tamales were enjoyed by so many in the community.

To know Katie, Boo, Boo-Boo, was to love her.  She shined her light on all who knew her.  She was strong and tough as nails, yet kind, caring, gentle, loving and truly a walking angel on Earth.  We will celebrate the life she lived and honor her memory in our hearts forevermore.

Rosary at 10:00 and Mass following at San Franciso de Asis Church on Friday March 1, 2024 with interment at Calvary Cemetery.
