Kenneth James Thomas passed away on January 11, 2024. He was born in Albuquerque, NM, on September 2,1940, to Jim and Betty Thomas.

He was raised in Albuquerque and then graduated from college at NMSU in Las Cruces. He worked at White Sands Missile Range during college, and then worked in the computer industry for IBM, GE, and Univac designing operating systems for computers. He and Nancy were married in 1966, moved to Flagstaff in 1972, and opened Fireside Pets, a retail pet store. He was very active in bowling, golf, men's slo-pitch, and coached his children in soccer, baseball, and softball. He also coached a women's softball team. He had 3 children—Ross, Kelly, and Tawni.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Kelly Thomas and daughter Tawni Thomas. He is survived by his wife Nancy, son Ross Thomas and his wife Julia, and their children Mikayla Ostroff (husband Ryan), Jaden Thomas, and Jaxon Thomas; children of Tawni Thomas, Evan Wimberley and Lauren Wimberley; and daughter-in-law Jana Thomas and her husband Michael Grose, children Janelle, Keljan, Joelle, Kenton, and Kelsa-Ana Thomas.

The funeral service will be held at Norvel Owens Mortuary on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 10 am.
