Kenneth Dale Wilson, age 65, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 surrounded by the love of his family. Ken proudly served his country as a Purple Heart recipient in the US Army and dedicated the rest of his life to his wife and children.

Ken was a cowboy through and through, encompassing the western spirit of the way a man ought to live. He loved and cherished his wife, and placed his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing brought him more peace and contentment than simply being a good husband and father. He taught his children the importance of hard work, to accept everyone as they were, and the value of a six-pack therapy.

Through it all Ken carried his personal faith across the fields, whether it be riding on horseback, driving his tractor, or by taking a walk with his family. He was a man of few words, but would share with those who listened closely, the amazing tales and stories of his life, never once looking for praise or glory. Ken was so much to so many that it would be impossible to sum up such a great man in so few words. The legacy of the KW will live on through his family and friends.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cindy, and his awesome children, Kimberly (Shawn Slayton), Jennifer (Christopher Cavalcant), Klint (Sherry), Sabrina (Bo Srmek), Samantha (Kevin Cox), and Josh. Also his grandchildren: Ashley, Brittany (Corey Newton), Cole, Austin, Kayla, Megan, Kash, Maverick, Lily, Emmalee, Madilyn, Wyatt, Benjamin; and his great-granddaughter Isabella.

Born July 18, 1949 in Cottonwood, AZ, he was the son of the late Tex and Harriet Wilson.
A memorial service will take place Monday, January 26, 2015 at 1:00 pm at East Valley Baptist Church, 10655 U.S. 89, Flagstaff, Arizona.
