Lana Louise McCalley passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 in Flagstaff, Arizona. She was born September 1, 1947 in Culver City, California. Lana left this world just as she lived in it: totally present in all she experienced, brave and strong always. She battled metastatic breast cancer for three years.
She is survived by her sister, Connie Ruth McCalley, her brother-in-law Dennis Welch, her nieces Linda Ann Ray and Sandy Averill, and her nephew Lewis Averill, her long time best friends Linda and Ron, and most of all her much loved and devoted cat, Gus Francis McCalley.
She also left a much treasured group, a "Basket of Caregivers" in no particular order: Allison, Michael, Candace, Ms. Elizabeth, Dr. Matas, Dr. Seaman and Judy, Suzanne, Wyatt and Tara, Dr. Mathern and Alma, Nancy, Dr. Julianne, and John & Jo for their homemade money.
Lana said her good-byes and wanted to be remembered as she was, so no services will be held.
