LaNora Fae Pruett, BA, passed away with her daughters, sister, and brother-in-law by her side on December 15, 2022. She was born in Eureka, California to Herman Henry Pruett and Beulah Fae (Brand) Pruett on April 3, 1948. The youngest of two daughters, she graduated from Victor Valley High School in 1966 and attended Victor Valley Community College.

On July 22, 1967, she married her former husband, Edmund Louis Mangan III in Victorville, California. They moved to Hahn Air Force Base in West Germany shortly afterward. On June 17, 1968, the couple welcomed their first daughter, Lisa Marie Mangan. After moving back to the states, they welcomed their second daughter, Laura Lynne Mangan who was born in Phoenix, Arizona on October 13, 1972. The family moved to several states before settling in Mesa, Arizona. They divorced in February 1986.

Having deveoped a love for horses in her early childhood, LaNora later raised Arabians and had great pride in the custom-built home and horse set up they had designed. She participated in numerous horse shows and often excused her daughters from school to attend with her (and they did not mind one bit). She raised horses for over two decades and bought her daughters a Shetland pony when they were in elementary school.

LaNora's career began as a Realtor in Arizona for several years working for Ed Post Real Estate which later became Coldwell Banker. She had a successful Real Estate career before entering advertising sales. In this capacity, LaNora flourished. She worked for Sullivan Publications/Armed Services Press in Riverside, CA selling ads for military relocation guides and maps. After moving to Northern Arizona, she transferred to Ingersoll Bosse Associates and again found great success selling advertising in California, Arizona and Florida.

In May 1995, LaNora graduated Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations/Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.

However, continuing to work for someone else's company lacked fulfillment for her. After receiving a $261 state tax refund check, LaNora launched OutWest Publishing LLC in early 2005. Her company published several annual relocation magazines in Northern Arizona communities as well as her flagship travel publication, Northern Arizona and Beyond. LaNora continued as CEO and publisher of OutWest Publishing until her retirement in 2019.

During the early years of OutWest Publishing, LaNora was the very first Basic Business Empowerment (BBE) program volunteer coach; now named Building Businesses and Entrepreneurs. During her time with the BBE program, her encouragement was instrumental to the program's director as well as to their participants. LaNora shared her own success story of launching her business and even provided a scholarship of $261 the first year to show that sometimes, it only takes a small investment to start your dream.

While living in Munds Park, LaNora met her neighbor Chris and they developed a wonderful friendship. Decades later, they both realized that the feelings and respect that they had for one another went deeper than friendship. A few years ago, LaNora shared that she and her previous neighbor, Christian "Chris" Stoltze, were in love. Over the last few years, the couple shared their inspiring love story with many. It was evident with the smiles on their faces, the hand holding, sharing interests in model trains, gardening and flowers, and travel. They had both found the loves of their lives. LaNora taught Chris how to be her Sous Chef and she became his model train engineer, assisting with laying track and arranging structures in their yard. The couple shared the joy of Christmas being their favorite time of year.

LaNora was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Beulah Pruett. She was also predeceased by her Love, Christian "Chris" Stoltze.

LaNora is survived by her daughters, Lisa M. Mangan and Laura Lynne Mangan of Gilbert, Arizona; her sister Julie (Gary) Taylor of Victorville, California and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will he held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Norvell Owens Mortuary located at 914 E Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona, 86001. Services begin at 1:00 p.m. and will continue with a brief graveside service at Citizen's Cemetery located at 1300 S. San Francisco St, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001 beginning at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in LaNora's honor to Coconino County's Building Businesses and Entrepreneurs Program at 2625 N. King St., Flagstaff, AZ 86004.
