It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Larry E. Adams (83), of Henderson, Nevada. Larry passed away on February 24, 2025.

Larry was born on October 18, 1941, in Walcott, Arkansas, to Cecil Adams and Alberta (Jones) Adams. His family later moved to East St. Louis, Illinois. He graduated from East St. Louis Senior High in 1959 and from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1968. He was a proud graduate and always spoke fondly of his time there.

He married his high school sweetheart, Judy (Avery), in 1963, and together they raised their daughter, Laura, and son, Kyle. His family was the center of his world.

Larry dedicated his career to McDonnell Aircraft, later Boeing, after moving to California in 1973, where he eventually became a Senior Manager in Labor Accounting. He served his country with pride in the Air Force Reserves from 1963 to 1969.

Outside of work, Larry was a man of many passions. He was President of the Long Beach Rod and Gun Club, a testament to his love for hunting and fishing. He cherished the time he spent with his friends boating and camping. After retiring from Boeing in 1996 at the age of 55, he and Judy moved to Henderson, Nevada, where he enthusiastically embraced golf and enjoyed countless rounds with his buddies. He also worked at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for a time, making even more friends along the way. In later years, he reactivated his membership in the Single Action Shooting Society, joining the Eldorado Cowboys and proudly being named one of the Magnificent 7 in 2024.

Larry leaves behind his beloved wife, Judy; his daughter, Laura McCullen (Steve); his son, Kyle Adams; and his cherished grandchildren, McKenzie, Zachary (Amanda), and Madison, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Fred J. Adams, and his sister, Brenda L. (Adams) Williams, whom we are sure were waiting to greet him.

Larry will be remembered for his kindness, his unwavering love for his family, and his enthusiasm for life. He was a genuinely good person with a remarkable ability to share his knowledge, especially regarding US History, and a willingness to lend a helping hand. He touched so many lives and will be deeply missed.

To celebrate Larry's life and honor his memory, we will be holding a Celebration of Life ceremony with military honors at Boulder Creek Golf Club on March 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the American Lung Association in Larry's honor. Please feel free to join us to share your memories and celebrate Larry.
