Lawrence "Larry" Leon Fouts, 64, of Flagstaff passed away April 25, 2010. He was born to Wilbur Emerson and Mildred Hazel Fouts April 11, 1946 in Richmond, Indiana. In 1958 his family moved to Phoenix where Larry was raised. He moved to Flagstaff in 1978. Larry taught at Yavapai Community College in Tuba City before it was Coconino Community College. He worked as data processing director for Coconino County, then in 1981 went to work for WL Gore & Associates.
Larry enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to the casino, and his poker group. He was a baseball fan and loved to watch the Diamondbacks and his grandkids play ball. He also enjoyed Wathcing NAU Football. He played city league softball and loved oldies rock. Larry will be remembered for his legendary sense of humor and mathematical genius.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wilma Fouts, his son Dan (Mindy) Fouts of Flagstaff, daughter Deana (Art) Arquello of Tempe, his sister Marla (Ogden) LeDé of Wittman, his father Wilbur Fouts of Phoenix, and by his three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother.
Services will take place Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 10:00 am, at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona
