Lawrence Arthur Wright, SR., 77 of Flagstaff, passed away September 8, 2006. He was born May 1, 1929 in Red Rock Crossing near Sedona. He was raised in Camp Verde and serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In his early years he owned two service stations and then worked with the Teamsters Local 83 for 35 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed his animals; horses, and dogs. He enjoyed the outdoors camping, fishing and was a professional hunter. After his retirement he enjoyed the time he spent working in the Wrights Tall Pine Ranch. He lived his life according to the simple cowboy logic.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Tommie (Morgan) Wright.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence A. Wright Jr., Four grandchildren, Walter, Lawrence Lyman, Ricky and Eva Wright, his brother Glen Wright, sisters, Mary Speckman and Nellita Stoye.
A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the Citizens Cemetery.
