A beautiful life ended on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend was called to eternal rest.

L.C. Wallace was born on January 25, 1917 in San Augustine, TX to Spencer and Lucinda Wallace. He was the 8th of 14 children. He attended school in Texas. In 1940 L.C. married Lottie Anderson to this union was born five children, C.L., Fred, Rosetta, Clara and Walter.

While in Texas he worked for the Caro Lumber Company and the Temple Lumber Company. L.C. moved to Flagstaff, AZ in 1953 where he worked for Saginaw umber and retired from Stone Forest industry in 1984. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and gardening.

L.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Spencer and Lucinda. His son C.L. Wallace, seven brothers; Perry Wallace, Jethro Wallace, Alonzo Wallace, S.W. Wallace, Clavie Wallace and Loven Wallace. Six sisters Lillie Mae Sparks, Willie Mae Watts, Belzoria Holden, Lois Royal, Elmyra Curl, and Ora Lee Porter, granddaughter Demetria Wallace, and great granddaughter Shawn Wallace.

He leaves to cherish him in many precious memories his wife Lottie, two sons, Fred and Walter Wallace all of Flagstaff, two daughters Clara Lyle of Phoenix and Rosetta McGuire of Flagstaff, AZ, and adopted family members LaTonya Buckhaulter and Blanche Anders. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, Funeral services will be held Friday morning 10:00 at 1st Baptist Church 219 S. Elden St.
