Obituary

Leah Dona Southworth, 78, of Mapleton, Utah passed away peacefully on February 10, 2008, from cause's incident to age and a recent stroke. She was born on August 3, 1929, in Kanab, Utah, to Will and Beryl Findlay Vaughn.

Leah attended school in Kanab and went on to graduate from Branch Agricultural College in Cedar City, Utah. After college Leah moved to the Los Angeles, CA. area to work for AT&T for several years. Leah married Henry "Hank" Southworth on September 11, 1954, and moved to Williams, Arizona. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed her callings in Primary and Relief Society.

Leah enjoyed the many family gatherings throughout the years and loved taking care of her children and husband. She loved taking rides to view wildlife and enjoy the fall colors.

She is survived by her two children: Mona (Mark) Hintze, Provo, Utah and Cary (Terri) Southworth, Mapleton, Utah, grandchildren Lucas, Zachary, Heidi, Kali, Micah, Spencer and Kelsey, great grandson Heath and sister Beatrice Carr, Kanab, Utah. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sister Oneita Lathim, Brothers Rodney Perkins and John Vaughn, and son-in-law Mark Hintze.

Funeral services under the direction of Norvel Owens Mortuary of Flagstaff, AZ., will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. in the Williams LDS Chapel, 1111 Stockmen Rd, Williams, Arizona. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at 9:00 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral. Burial will be at the Williams City Cemetery.
