Leo D. Benton, 89, of Dilcon, Arizona died June 25, 2005 in Winslow. AZ. He was born September 10, 1915 in Castle Butte, Arizona.



Leo was a NAC Church member. He loved to work, he was a hard working man of all trades. He enjoyed cooking, making funny jokes, telling stories. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.



He is survived by his daughters; Mareta (Edward) Begay, Anita (Willie) Nezzie, sons; Herman D. ( Evelyn) Benton Sr., Chester Benton, Step-son, Thomas D. Benton, Adopted Grandson Kevin Benton, Step-sister Elizabeth Dixon. 35 Grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.



He was proceeded in death by his wife Ada D. Benton, grandsons, Romero Begay and Kermit Benton.



Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m.Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 1505 W. 3rd St., Winslow, AZ Burial will follow at Desert View Cemetery. A reception will be after services at the residence of Willie and Anita Nezzie, 13 miles west of Dilcon, AZ.
