One thing she wanted you to understand is... that is HER mountain. In the Summer, her mountain was fantastic, but in Winter, covered in snow, it was glorious, and she made sure everyone knew it. She relished in the fact that she could see it, any time she wanted, by simply stepping out her front door.

Lois Winifred Young Seiferth Van Wagoner, 82, passed away suddenly on December 7, 2022 in Flagstaff, AZ. She is survived by her four (Seiferth) boys, Mark (Rachel Bliss), James (Susan), John (Kim), and Eric (Heather), nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren (with number three on the way), and her 1998 Mazda B3000 pickup truck she named "Eagle".

There were four things she was intensely passionate about: her faith in Jesus, her patriotism for America, her family, and a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich that would almost always last for more than one meal. So she could keep her family close, she single-handedly kept Walgreens profitable by printing pictures from her phone, framing them for display in her house, and making photo albums for her great-grandchildren.

She also had the greatest green thumb of all time. She could revive plants thought to have been lost forever. She sprouted clippings from a grandmother plant she named "Charlie" and gave them to her children, grandchildren, and anyone who would take one. Her legacy not only lives on in her family, but in the plants she spread all over creation.

She was born in Totowa Borough, NJ, the middle child of three. Her older sister was Patricia Young White (deceased) and her younger brother was Craig Young (deceased). In her heart, she was always a "Jersey Girl". She loved her mother, father, siblings, nieces, and nephews deeply. Prior to her passing, "Sister Pat" accompanied her on a trip to San Diego, where they stayed in a bungalow on the Crystal Pier, a frequent family summer destination during the 1970's and 1980's.

She was a loyal friend and community member who would always help, but never wanted or needed attention. Her presence was both ubiquitous and invisible. She just wanted to serve in the best way she could, whether that meant decorating a church altar before Sunday service, helping set-up an event at the community center in her neighborhood, or simply letting a neighbor know she was there if they needed her.

She will be missed by her family, her friends, and those she touched just by giving a smile or saying "Hello". We know she is happy, safe, and surrounded by her father, mother, sister, brother, and second husband, Randy Van Wagoner (deceased), the love of her life. Rest in peace in the loving hands of God.

Services will be held both in Mesa, AZ where she raised her family, and in Flagstaff, AZ. The service in Mesa will be on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 12:00pm at St. Mark's Parish Hall, 322 North Horne, Mesa, AZ 85203. The service in Flagstaff will be in the Spring of 2023.
