Louisa Ormsby, a long time resident of Flagstaff passed away suddenly in her home on February 9th. Louisa was born to Alberto and Ofelia Barela on December 2, 1937, attended South Beaver Elementary School and graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1957. Louisa married Gerald (Gary) Ormsby in 1966 they eventually moved from Flagstaff and lived in El Centro and La Puente, CA until her husband passed away in 1982. Louisa returned to Flagstaff and raised her two sons Darin and Martin Ormsby. Louisa worked for and retired as a bookkeeper for Flagstaff Pediatrics, she enjoyed the company of her family and specifically enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was a devote Catholic and a parishioner of the San Francisco de Asis Parish. She loved to sew and made beautiful baptism garments for her grandchildren and vestment robes for the pastors of the San Francisco de Asis Parish. Her hobbies also included jigsaw puzzles, painting, angel collecting, watching her children and grandchildren participate in sporting events, shopping with her sisters and occasionally could be found relaxing or performing her "therapy" at Cliff Castle.

Louisa is survived by her two sons Darin (Amy) Ormsby, their children Gary, Cody, Justine, Kennedy and Alyx and Martin S. (Mary Ellen) Ormsby and their daughters Olivia and Sophia all of Flagstaff; brother Eberto ("Tito" "Tony") Barela (Flagstaff); and sisters Adelina Rascon (Los Lunas, NM) and Pilar Lovato (Flagstaff) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and much extended family.

The Rosary will be recited on Monday, February 15th at 6:00 p.m., at the St. Pius X Church and the funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 16th at 10:00 a.m., with interment at the Calvary Cemetery immediately following the mass.
