Luis Rodriguez Sadia, 91, died January 27, 2024, in Camp Verde, Arizona, surrounded by his family. Luis was one of eight children born on February 17, 1932, in Posada de Valdeón, León, España.  He worked with his father and brothers laying stone and herding their cattle and sheep in Spain. Luis migrated to the United States in 1968 to work as a sheep herder. After working here for several years, he returned to Spain and brought his family to the United States in 1977. Luis continued working in construction since then until his retirement. His first wife, Felisa Isabel, passed away in 1995 whom he had two children with. Later as a widower, he met his second wife, Maria Elizabeth, in Spain who he loved dearly and spent the next 25 years enjoying life with and raising their daughter.

Luis was full of life and joy. To know him, was to love him. He was loved immensely by his family and friends. He loved to continue visiting his home, family, and friends in Spain every year. He loved to hunt, fish, and had a true passion for wood working. His favorite pass time was to make canes and gift them.

Luis was preceded in death by his parents, Sebastian, and Soledad, and four of his siblings. He is survived by his second wife, Maria Elizabeth Lopez de Rodriguez, his three children Jose Vicente Rodriguez, Marisol Erasun, and Yvette Rodriguez, and his grandchildren, Julia-Ester Erasun and Dionisio Erasun, as well as his three siblings and many cousins, nieces, and nephews in Spain. His life will be celebrated with a Rosary and Mass at San Francisco De Asis Catholic Church in Flagstaff, AZ on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 10:00am and 10:30am. A luncheon will follow the funeral services. His burial services will be private.
