Mack Martinez, age 96, a longtime Flagstaff resident and businessman, passed away January 19, 2021 in
Flagstaff, AZ of Covid 19. He was born in Alameda, New Mexico on September 14, 1924 to Lorenzo and
Concepcion (Gonzalez) Martinez. His family moved to Flagstaff when he was a young child.

Mack is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years of marriage, Vera (Sedillo) Martinez. Mack is survived by his children: Larry (Sandy) Martinez, of Wellston, MI; Stephen (Carol) Martinez, of Flagstaff, AZ; Annette (Edward) Wolff, of Flagstaff, AZ; Ernest (Aurelia) Martinez, of Flagstaff, AZ; and many grandchildren and
great grandchildren. Mack is also survived by his "Sister": Loretta Puaa, of Goodyear, AZ. Mack is also preceded in death by his sons, Thomas M. Martinez, Henry R. Martinez, and Robert P. Martinez, also, parents Lorenzo and Concepcion Martinez, siblings: Augustine Martinez, Robert Martinez, Arthur Martinez,
Delano Martinez, Lorraine Monroe and Margaret Aragon.

Mack and Vera married January 18, 1954 and lived together in Flagstaff for 63 years, started and ran family businesses
and raised seven children.

Mack served his country during WWll in the United States Army Air Corps as a nose gunner in a B24 Bombardment
Group Squadron stationed in the South Pacific. After his discharge, Mack worked for Southwest Forest Industries before venturing out and starting his own business.
Over the years, he owned and ran the family businesses "Flying A Service Station", "Phillips 66 Service Station",
and "Northern Drywall Inc.".

Mack loved Flagstaff and the San Francisco Peaks. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Vera and family outdoors,
camping, hunting, fishing, or just going for a ride in the backcountry. He also enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.
He enjoyed going to the casino, where lady luck seemed to smile upon him quite often. His family and friends will always remember him as a very honest, loving, cheerful, and good humored man. He will be forever loved and forever missed.

The family would like to thank everyone for the outpour of prayers, well wishes, condolences, and help in getting
through this most difficult time. Also, a very special thanks of gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of
Flagstaff Medical Center. Their skills, dedication and courage are beyond compare.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, when the world is a little safer, to celebrate his life.
